On 16 March 2010 in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan there took place the meeting of the members of the Committee on Legislation and Legal Matters of the Senate with the representatives of arbitral tribunals and arbitral bodies on issues of alternative justice.

Vice Speaker of the Chamber A. S. Sudyin, Vice Minister of Justice М.B. Beketayev, Chairman of Supervisory Judicial Collegium for Civil and Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. D. Tashenova, Head of Department of Cooperation with the Committee on Legislation and Legal Matters of the Apparatus of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z. Kh. Baymoldina, Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies affiliated with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after S. Yeskarayev S. S. Moldabayev, Chairman of Soyuz Atameken National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan A. T. Peruashev and also representatives of arbitral tribunals acting in Kazakhstan became the members of the meeting under the chairmanship of the head of the Committee on Legislation and Legal Matters of the Senate B. M. Imashev.

The Kazakhstani International Arbitrage was presented on the meeting by Executive Director A. E. Duisenova.

The members of the meeting discussed topical issues of the activity of arbitral tribunals in the Republic and also gave specific proposals directed to further improvement of Laws on Arbitral Tribunals and International Commercial Arbitrage.

Marking the end of the meeting B. M. Imashev thanked the members of the meeting for constructive interchange of views and noticed that given proposals will be used in improvement of legislation on issues relating to alternative justice.
